Our subsidiary; Rafiki Microfinance Bancassurance Intermediary (RMBI) is seeking to recruit for a Quality Assurance Officer. The Quality Assurance Officer will be responsible for driving asset and analytics strategy of RMBI.

**Job Description**

Credit Life Business

  • Identify gaps in the credit life book and ensure adequate actions are taken to safeguard the interest of the bank and grow insurance business through the sale of credit life insurance.
  • Drive credit life Insurance revenue via engagement with Rafiki Bank credit team by ensuring that all loans issued by the bank are comprehensively covered
  • Ensuring effective renewal communication for annual credit life premium is done in a timely manner.
  • Implement accurate record keeping for all the credit life book and timely updating of all records hence providing timely credit life reporting.
  • Provide high quality service through engagement to all new and existing credit life clients.
  • Conduct effective follow up with Credit Admin on the collection of premiums from credit life clients to support in revenue generation for RMBI. Ensure all uncollected premiums are escalated in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless support to credit life clients.
  • Ensuring all business has been debited and placed on cover.
  • Ensuring credit life refunds are calculated and processed.
  • Ensuring premium collection and remittance is processed.
  • Ensuring daily, weekly and monthly reports are circulated
  • Ensure payments are done to insurers after recons so as to ensure smooth claim payment and support.

Credit Life claims

  • To notify RMBI as soon as the bank is notified of death of a client.
  • Receiving claims reports and registering with RMBI Claims department
  • Liaise with the DRU department to ensure all relevant documents are received to facilitate the claims.
  • Ensuring all the necessary documents are sent to  RMBI claims department
  • Ensure payment and acknowledgement of the claims
  • Reporting on the status of all claims.

Asset Business

  • Drive and maintain 100% renewal of all asset backed polices issued by the bank by forming strong partnerships with the Asset finance and credit admin teams at Rafiki Bank. Ensure all exceptional cases are escalated within a timely manner to ensure that the bank is covered at all times.
  • Prepare a list of all the collateral due for renewals & share with Underwriting a month prior.
  • Ensure all securities (Change of agencies letters) are shared with Underwriting a month prior to expiry.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping for all assets /securities and timely updating of all records to facilitate effective reporting and mitigation of all risks.
  • Conduct, analyze and recommend gap measures for all asset backed business for Rafiki Bank in line with CBK & IRA guidelines in order to ensure that Rafiki Bank is sufficiently covered at all times.
  • Ensure all Insurance Confirmation Forms for all clients whose covers are renewed are delivered to CAD on a monthly basis
  • Maintain records of all renewals done as well as annual registers of all assets with bank’s interest for tracking renewal dates.
  • Liaise with CAD and get approval from the Head of Credit to debit the accounts of the clients who have not provided their Insurance confirmations and organize for their insurance through underwriting
  • Ensuring daily, weekly and monthly reports are circulated

**Knowledge: Skills and Experience required for this role**

  • Degree in business related field or equivalent
  • At least 3-5 years progressive experience in an Insurance field
  • Insurance professional qualifications; a certificate of proficiency or CPA (K) will be an added advantage
  • Proficient in conducting complex analysis and modeling
  • Demonstrate good written and oral communication skills ·
